Holly House has confidence in 3.0T for spine imaging

News

Footballer Joe Cole shakes hands with Philips Healthcare account manager Paul Ringwald.  With them are Philips Healthcare service delivery manager Walter Maningo, lead MRI radiographer Keri Powell, Philips Healthcare project manager Steve Matthews, West Ham United team doctor Dr Sean Howlett, imaging services manager Michele Fox and hospital director Phil Bates.

West Ham United footballer Joe Cole helped open a Philips Ingenia 3.0T MRI scanner at Holly House Hospital.  Part of Aspen Healthcare, Holly House scans many high profile sporting personalities and has a strong affiliation with West Ham United Football Club.

Imaging services manager Michele Fox said: “The Ingenia was selected because Philips has conquered issues regarding 3T abdominal and spine imaging, so this gave us the confidence that it could be used as a stand-alone MRI system.  It replaced a 1.5T scanner and will now enable Holly House to offer advanced prostate and MSK imaging and will also enable other new services to be set up in the future.”
