Supplier continuity leads to a smooth CT transition

Specialist radiographer Graeme Marshall, CT lead radiographer Linda Leggat, Toshiba Medical Systems account executive Scott Kearton and specialist radiographer Heather Caley.

Perth Royal Infirmary’s existing CT scanner was popular with staff and so the NHS Tayside hospital chose another Toshiba system, this time an Aquilion CXL 64-slice scanner.

Radiography manager Douglas Mitchell said “The previous Toshiba scanner was well liked by staff and obviously our familiarity with Toshiba CT equipment helped with the training and a smooth transition to the new equipment.  The excellent support we have always received from the company played a part in our decision. We are very pleased with the dose reduction we are achieving with the iterative dose reduction software AIDR 3D.”
