Ten mobile ultrasound systems boost community services

With a group of mobile ultrasound systems are Siemens Healthcare clinical applications specialist Paul Treanor, InHealth sonographer Daniel Kigozi and mobile imaging services manager Mark Dolan.
InHealth Group has achieved improved imaging results following the installation of 10 mobile and portable ultrasound systems from Siemens Healthcare. It is expected that patients for non-obstetric ultrasound services will be seen faster, ensuring treatment such as musculoskeletal and vascular procedures are provided as soon as possible.
The Acuson X300 and portable P300 systems will be used for the provision of community-based ultrasound services. Five Acuson X300 ultrasound systems have already been installed in InHealth’s diagnostic centres across London while five portable Acuson P300 systems are being used to support community-based imaging by GPs in London and to support local hospitals, treatment centres and training as required.
“We are very pleased to have this advanced ultrasound technology in place as enhanced images mean better diagnoses for our patients,” said InHealth mobile imaging services manager Mark Dolan.
