Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor has gone digital and replaced ageing fluoroscopy units with a Toshiba Medical Systems Ultimax-i x-ray fluoroscopy system. The equipment comes with a 43 x 43cm flat panel detector.
Head of quality and governance, radiology CPG, Helen Hughes said: “Going digital has enabled us to be more flexible and we replaced two fluoroscopy rooms with just the one general x-ray/fluoroscopy suite. When assessing the systems on the market we felt that the Toshiba equipment was clinically the most suitable for the type of service we offer in North Wales.
