BMI The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Cheshire, has become the first private hospital in the UK to acquire a Toshiba Next Generation Aquilion One CT scanner.

Hospital executive director Philip Oehley said: “We are delighted to be the first private provider in the UK to install the 320-slice CT scanner.  It will put us at the forefront of imaging and diagnostics services, enabling us to provide our patients with the most advanced clinical technology available.

“The hospital has invested heavily in the latest equipment, new services and ongoing staff training over recent years so that our patients have access to the highest quality care, from diagnosis to surgery and recovery.”
