Digital upgrade improves workflow and lowers doses at Dorset hospital

Victoria Community Hospital, part of Dorset Healthcare University NHS Trust, has replaced its analogue x-ray room with a fully automatic DX-D 600 DR system with Musica workstation from Agfa HealthCare.  The room was officially opened by the Mayor of Wimborne Councillor Andy Hampton.

For Victoria Community Hospital, the trust chose the DX-D 600 DR room with NX workstation.  Fully motorised and auto-positioning, the system is suited to facilities with a high patient load.

“The system will help us to improve the radiography workflow and speed up patient throughput, while simultaneously improving image quality and reducing patient dose,” said radiology services manager Iain Luscombe. “This will support us to enhance the patient experience.”
