Manchester heart centre is the first UK user of injector

Seated are Medtron’s Radko Radev, radiographer Sanoj Varghese, physiologist Wendy Gamlin, Guerbet product manager Barbara Suggitt and Medtron’s Raphael David. Behind them are lead radiographer David Clark, Guerbet Laboratories account manager Stephen Green and radiographers Jacintha Nkwopara and Mark Iwankiw.
The Alliance Medical North West Heart Centre, based at University Hospital of South Manchester, has become the first UK recipient of the new Accutron MR3 injector.
Lead MRI radiographer David Clark said: “We are delighted to be the first UK centre to be able to utilise this injector, which helps us to enhance our service and eliminates the need for a separate infusion pump when performing cardiac stress perfusion.”
Manufactured by Medtron AG, the wireless MR3 contrast and saline injector is distributed in the UK by Guerbet Laboratories.
