Two cassette sizes were a factor for Darent Valley
Senior radiographers Victoria Finch and Wendy Stock, Philips Healthcare DR modality specialist Seamus Flood, senior radiographer Lisa Dyer, operating lead radiology Andrew Jessup and Philips imaging systems account manager Barry Heathcote.
Darent Valley Hospital, part of Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, has replaced an existing system with a MobileDiagnost wDR from Philips Healthcare. The equipment comes with SkyFlow technology for image quality, with the efficiency of Philips’ premium digital radiography rooms, incorporated into a flexible and easy-to-manoeuvre mobile x-ray system.
Operational lead for radiology Andrew Jessup said: “The main factors that led us to select the Philips system included the two sizes of cassettes and that it complemented our existing DigitalDiagnost DR rooms, which are very easy to use. This unit offers excellent image quality and low patient dose. It is simple to use and very manoeuvrable, and the wireless download of images to PACS is very convenient.”
