A new generation of radiotherapy indexed carbon fibre couch-tops installed at Torbay Hospital, Devon, is the first of its kind anywhere in the world.
The Universal Couch-Top from CIVCO Medical Solutions is, states UK supplier Oncology Systems Limited, ideal for all modern treatment techniques including IMRT, IGRT and arc therapy due to its thin, homogeneous, lightweight design with the advantage of no support beams that can often interfere with imaging and treatment delivery.
