Aintree Hospital expands breast clinic procedures

Siemens Healthcare clinical applications specialist James Semons and regional sales manager Richard Evans with RDA Christine Sharpe, interim clinical business manager Carol Baker, principal radiographer Samantha Davis and consultant radiologist Dr Trupti Kulkarni.
Aintree University Hospital is able to perform breast elastography procedures for the first time since it installed an Acuson S2000 from Siemens Healthcare. The system is based in the breast clinic and was chosen to provide greater image quality. It is used by the multi-disciplinary breast team and the general ultrasound department.
“Following a smooth installation process, we are all very pleased with the Acuson S2000’s performance,” said principal radiographer Samantha Davis. “The system’s excellent image quality, advanced features and innovative probes have allowed us to expand the services we offer to include breast elastography and have assisted sonographers in making a swift and accurate diagnosis.”
