Macclesfield Victoria Breast Unit, part of the East Cheshire NHS Trust, has installed a dedicated system for breast ultrasound.
Consultant radiologist Dr Chris Loughran commented: “We have used Toshiba ultrasound machines now for many years and have consistently found them very reliable. The latest system is no exception; we are delighted with the image quality, ease of use and software, which includes the elastography and Micropure package.”
The Aplio XG was supplied with Toshiba’s latest software Precision Imaging, ElastoQ and Micropure, plus a high frequency linear array transducer that operates up to 18 MHz.
