Aplio 400 for Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital

Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital recently held an ultrasound course focussing on neonatal head imaging.  Toshiba Medical Systems ultrasound engineer Andrew Fairhead, pictured on the left, gave demonstrations of the hospital’s newly-acquired Aplio 400 system and controls, while a Toshiba applications specialist assisted with the practical sessions.

Consultant radiologist Dr Karen Duncan said: “Factors that influenced our decision to acquire an Aplio system included the quality of the product as well as the quality of the applications support.   We already use Toshiba machines across all our departments, so familiarity with the Aplio range was a consideration, and in particular the inter-changeability of the probe with existing systems.”
