Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon, was the first in the area to acquire the Toshiba Aplio 500 series ultrasound scanners, as replacement systems for three old systems.
The equipment will cover all application areas from obstetrics to general radiology and comes with Toshiba’s latest software, including real-time elastography and 3D/4D transvaginal ultrasound with a Fly Thru option.
Advanced ultrasound practitioner Lisa Wright said: “We have always had excellent support from the sales, applications and service sectors of Toshiba and this, coupled with impressive image quality and innovative features of the Aplio 500, made it the obvious choice for our department.”
