Award recognises community clinic’s cut in waiting times

Physiological Measurements directors Andrew Honeyman and Jon Pither with previous chief executive of Medilink East Midlands Darren Clark.
Oswestry-based Physiological Measurements has received the Medilink West Midlands outstanding achievement award for its development of a high street community ultrasound clinic, located in a Gravesend shopping centre.
The awards, which were held in January, praised the Shropshire organisation’s work regarding its ultrasound clinic in St George’s Shopping Centre, which has the potential to run seven days a week and aims to relieve pressure on GP surgeries and hospitals.
Co-founder Jon Pither hopes that winning the award will continue to raise awareness of the work Physiological Measurements is doing: “We are delighted that our hard work has been recognised, and winning the award means that we can continue to grow as a business and also continue to be a provider of community non-invasive diagnostic services, in partnership with the NHS.
“The clinic has already helped local health services and has increased patient access, convenience and speed when delivering community diagnostics.”
