AXREM launch app

AXREM app

AXREM is the UK trade association representing the interests of suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment in the UK. AXREM members supply the majority of diagnostic medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment installed in UK hospitals. In doing so, our member companies and their employees work side by side with radiologists, radiographers and practitioners, oncologists and a wide range of healthcare professionals in delivering healthcare to patients using our technologies.

AXREM have raised the profile of the association and developed marketing and communications over the last two years with an increased presence on social media, the creation of a YouTube channel monthly member newsletters and external stakeholder biannual newsletters.

As a not-for-profit trade association engagement with members and external stakeholders is key to our work, so we wanted to explore other ways we can engage. The app will allow anyone to download it to their mobile devices and is available to download on both Android and Apple smartphones. Members will be given login details and will be able to view member only information such as meeting documents and a calendar of events direct to their phone. The app has been created with simplicity in mind and is easy to navigate and use.

AXREM is constantly developing engagement and communications strategies and would ask anyone with an interest in our work and sector to download the app. In the first week of release the app has already been downloaded over 200 times, so we hope to build a strong community to engage with in this way. With more people working remotely and travelling for work the app will allow you to keep up to date of AXREM news and activities wherever you are.

Sally Edgington, AXREM director said: “This has been a few months in the making and I am pleased to finally be able to share the new AXREM app with our industry sector, engagement is a priority of AXREM both with our members but also anyone working in the NHS or our sector so they can keep abreast of all the latest industry news and information.” Sally added: “In the world of remote working and colleagues being on-the-go, I feel that creating this new way of engaging with AXREM will offer a more accessible form of communication to all.”
