Barts upgrades NM network

In front are nuclear medicine consultant Dr Ewa Nowosinska, Hermes Medical Solutions global controller Dr Sofia Bertling, nuclear medicine physicist Emily Joel and lead nuclear medicine radiographer Marguerite Du Preez.  Behind are head of nuclear medicine and radiopharmacy Dr Neil Hartman, Hermes UK director of sales and technical services Dr Steve Bloomer and nuclear medicine consultant Dr Athar Haroon.

Barts Health NHS Trust has upgraded its Hermes nuclear medicine and PETCT facility to provide an integrated and vendor neutral processing analysis, reporting and data-management solution for molecular imaging across all four of its nuclear medicine centres at Barts, the Royal London, Whipps Cross and Newham hospitals.

The Hermes facility uses the latest dual-screen workstations, application servers and thin clients to allow users to process, analyse, review and report NM, PETCT and SPECTCT scans using a common set of specialist software tools for molecular imaging at any Hermes workstation, networked computer or tablet device.
