Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead has upgraded its vascular lab with a Philips AlluraClarity Xper FD20 system.  Cardiovascular superintendent radiographer Lorna Oliver said: “The department already has a lot of Philips equipment and this was one of the main reasons, together with the system’s low dose potential, for selecting Philips again.  In our busy department, the transition to the new system was smooth and the training time reduced to a minimum.  In addition, we have always been very happy with the support provided by Philips.

“We were able to save on costs as the tracking from our existing Philips system could be left in place and this gave us more money to spend on software packages, resulting in a high specification system that we are very pleased with,” she added.
