BIR president receives chain of office for next two-year term

Consultant radiologist Dr Jane Phillips-Hughes from Churchill Hospital, Oxford, has been inaugurated as the new president of the BIR.  During a reception at the Malmaison Hotel in London attended by around 90 members, corporate members and supporters as well as representatives from other professional bodies, outgoing president Andy Rogers handed over the chain of office.

Dr Phillips-Hughes remarked: “Becoming president of such a renowned society is like a dream come true.”  She has had senior roles on the BJR editorial board and council.  “I look forward to building on this strong foundation and taking the BIR to its next stage of growth and development over the next two years,” she said.
