Birmingham refresh completed

Radiographer Bijal Khiroya, Philips UKI account manager imaging systems Sally Maclachlan, superintendent radiographer Karen Jones, radiographers Hodon Ali and Ben Walton, Philips field service engineer Paul Richardson and radiographer Sonu Chand.
The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham, has now completed its equipment replacement programme with the installation of two Philips DigitalDiagnost x-ray systems and two MobileDiagnost wDR units. The purchase represents a significant investment by the trust, which is one of the largest specialist orthopaedic units in Europe, offering planned orthopaedic surgery locally, nationally and internationally.
X-ray superintendent radiographer Karen Jones said: “We enjoy using the Philips equipment due to its automation and familiar user interface. The auto-stitching software is easy to use and improves efficiency, and integrated CR is essential for the long length imaging of children, where movement between exposures can be an issue.”
