The aim of this book is to provide a succinct, pocket-sized guide that radiographers can use as an aid to their practical work. It has been compiled by a radiology advisor at UK Radiology Advisory Services, Preston, and principal and senior lecturers based at the Institute of Health, University of Cumbria. The authors acknowledge that this book has been inspired by the eminent reference book Clark’s Positioning in Radiography and advise that it can be used as an accompaniment to the 13th edition. 

This handbook has been designed to help radiographers in their everyday practice by providing easily accessible, accurate infor-mation. Without doubt, this pocket manual would be invaluable to students and newly-qualified radiographers, due to its clear format, well indexed content and comprehensive text.
