Bradford Royal Infirmary’s new ultrasound department has been officially opened in the presence of the chairman, manager and players of Bradford City Football Club.
Designed and planned by ultrasound superintendent Virginia Lodge, the department now offers improved workflow and patient care. She said: “We bought two Toshiba Aplio 500s for our five-roomed main ultrasound department as we needed more machines to supplement our existing equipment. We use them for general scanning, gynaecological scans and small parts scanning, plus some MSK work.
“The Toshiba machines were selected for their ease of use, ergonomics and image quality. We also find Toshiba a very accessible company with which we have a good working relationship.”
