Philips Healthcare has been awarded a contract in excess of £5 million to supply dedicated paediatric diagnostic imaging equipment for a new children’s hospital, Alder Hey in the Park.  The contract is part of a long-term collaboration between Philips and Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.

Included in the order are Ingenia 1.5T and 3.0T MRI systems, an AlluraClarity biplane angiography lab and a biplane cardiac lab, a MultiDiagnost fluoroscopy system and multiple Diagnost Flex DR rooms, providing the latest technology and iPatient user interface.  In addition, a Philips Achieva 3.0T MRI system will be re-sited and upgraded to the latest dStream platform and specialist MR and advanced molecular imaging analysis tools will be added to Philips’ IntelliSpace Portal.
