Breast care service moves

Specialist mammographer Kate Knight with the new equipment

Gloucestershire Breast Care Service has moved into a new purpose-built facility in Cheltenham.

“Although the new facility is just across the road from our previous site, it is simply worlds apart in terms of what we have and the level of service we can provide” comments lead superintendent radiographer Caroline Dobson.  “Now, we can provide stereotactic, screening and a symptomatic service all under the one roof.  We have the very latest and best equipment on site not least of which is our Bioptics CoreVision unit.  It sits very neatly in the viewing room and has proven popular with staff as it is easy to use”
