Southmead Hospital, part of North Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, has acquired a Philips DigitalDiagnost HP wireless digital x-ray system to complement a previous version. Superintendent radiographer, plain imaging, Glyn Short said: “We were already using an older version of the DigitalDiagnost and wanted a similar system for consistency, especially as the equipment would be adjacent to the existing unit.
“We use the equipment predominantly for post-operative imaging of patients and find the design enables us to increase our patient throughput whilst maintaining high image quality. Features that we particularly like include its ease-of-use, intuitive interface and excellent image quality.”
