Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has acquired 11 ultrasound systems from GE Healthcare, one funded by charity Scannappeal.
The company supplied three Loqiq E9 XDClear radiology systems for Wycombe Hospital and one for Stoke Mandeville Hospital, three Voluson E6 women’s health systems for Wycombe and one for Stoke Mandeville, and two Logiq S8 systems for the breast unit at Wycombe.
“Each year, the trust carries out over 90,000 ultrasound examinations and by providing up-to-date ultrasound technologies, we can deliver high quality images, faster,” said general manager for radiology Jane Barrow. “These will help our staff to provide more accurate results, which may reduce delays in diagnosis, the need for repeat appointments and waiting times for additional examinations.”
