Bursary recipients put funding to good use

Trustees of the World Radiography Educational Trust Foundation (WRETF) have selected two recipients from a number of applications to receive bursaries in its second round of awards.
Kofi Kyei of Ghana was able to make an educational visit to Cape Town, South Africa, in spring to learn more about using a linear accelerator and Catherine Muchuki of Kenya was able to make a presentation at ECR in Vienna.
Both awards covered otherwise unfunded costs of accommodation, subsistence, registration, travel and regulatory paperwork and in both cases represent the difference between attending and not attending.
WRETF honorary secretary Sue Marchant said: “We are delighted with the response to our second bursary application, which produced two deserving recipients. WRETF chairman Alan Budge and I were fortunate to be able to attend ECR this year and meet Catherine Muchuki, a very worthy recipient.”
