Following its acquisition by Australia’s largest provider of radiotherapy services, Cancer Partners UK will be renamed Genesis Care.  More changes are underway with the appointment of a UK general manager and the launch of a state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment centre in Kent.

West Malling Diagnostic and Treatment Centre near Maidstone brings the number of Genesis Care centres in the UK to nine.  It follows a similar model to centres in Milton Keynes and Oxford, providing fast access to outpatient consultation and screening services, along with diagnostic and chemotherapy suites and the latest generation linear accelerator for accurate radiotherapy treatments.

Consultant clinical oncologist (breast) Dr Russell Burcombe said: “This is great news for patients in the area and I believe that through this private healthcare centre we can make a real difference to people’s lives.  The facilities it will provide us with are very impressive and an exciting proposition for the area.
