Canterbury radiographer will help sports heroes

Hannah Snell looks through the CT scanner at BMI The Chaucer Hospital.

Canterbury radiographer Hannah Snell is celebrating the news she will be a games maker for the Paralympic Games this year.

Hannah is a radiographer at BMI The Chaucer Hospital and will be working in the Olympic village medical centre as one of the medical games makers.  She will be on stand-by to carry out MRI or CT scans if the need arises.

Mum of two Hannah applied in response to an advertisement from the Society of Radiographers.  She said: “I really didn’t think I’d be chosen, but I applied as I thought it would be the most amazing thing to be part of.  I couldn’t believe it when I received the e-mail to tell me I had been selected.  I’m very excited, I still can’t believe it and I am really proud to be part of it.”
