Careful planning sees MRI services in Liverpool get a boost

Benelux Imaging has installed a GE HealthCare Signa Architect 3.0T modular MRI facility for The Regent Hospital at Princes Dock, Liverpool. The project was delivered in close collaboration with Maven Group and Ghosh Healthcare.
The installation required detailed planning and engagement with multiple stakeholders. Preparatory work was undertaken to ensure the site could accommodate the modular unit, including the development of new supporting infrastructure. A key milestone was the on-site installation of the MRI magnet, which involved a carefully managed craning operation, followed by mechanical installation, system ramp-up and full commissioning.
Benelux Imaging says the MRI system is one of only a limited number of 3.0T scanners operating locally, so it will help improve access to high quality diagnostic imaging for the surrounding community.
The system incorporates imaging technologies including AIR Recon DL, which uses deep learning to enhance image quality and improve scan efficiency.
