Philips Healthcare held a one day x-ray course for managers, radiographers and technicians, including PACS users, at the Churchill War Rooms, central London.
In addition to being open as a museum, the War Rooms are also available for events and, as 2015 is the 50th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill’s death, it was a timely choice. It proved to be a popular venue, attracting nearly 90 delegates on the day.
The programme opened with a presentation ‘Dealing with the more complex case’, by Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust head of imaging Tony Turner. This was followed by Royal Bournemouth Hospital advanced practitioner radiographer Tom Beaumont presenting on ‘Investigating concerns about fitness to practice’.
