UK medical Charity Cobalt has converted a Bucky room from analogue to digital with Philips’ ProGrade digital solution. The upgrade to a fully digital system is quick to install and avoids the disruption and expense of a full room replacement.
Senior radiographer/administrator Kathlyn Slack said: “Upgrading to the ProGrade DR system has made a real difference to the patient experience at Cobalt. High quality images are available now, within a few seconds, in the examination room. This means the patient is not left while the images are checked, considerably reducing the overall examination time. In addition, the high quality of the images has been commented on by our radiologists and clinicians.”
