Companies maintain family ethos despite growth

Run as a family business for more than 50 years, Xograph Healthcare has developed into a well-known name in medical imaging. NHS and private hospitals, government authorities and academic institutions are among its customers. At the end of 2019 ownership of Xograph was transferred to privately-owned company Healthcare 21 Group.

Xograph Healthcare md Paul Andrews said: “We believe there is always a better way to conduct business, and the family values passed down to us are essential to that belief. From my first meeting with Healthcare 21, it was clear we both shared the family ethos, and assessing where our expertise in radiology and imaging could add value to Healthcare 21’s offering – and vice-versa – was integral to bringing our families together.

“Customers come to us to scope ideas that are perhaps outside normal requirements and have come to expect our agility to respond with help and, ultimately, a solution. An example is our tenure partnership with British Superbikes, where we have refined trackside imaging technology to enhance rider welfare with responsive treatment by medical staff without the rider leaving the race venue.”

Healthcare 21 Group chair Owen Curtin added: “People are key to all of our businesses, and our culture of devolved ownership and responsibility already exists within Xograph.”
