Continued investment at Sulis Hospital leads to Samsung ultrasound addition

Sulis Hospital in Bath has introduced a Samsung R20 ultrasound system as part of its continued investment in advanced diagnostic technology and patient care. Supplied by MIS Healthcare, the system provides enhanced imaging capabilities to support clinicians in delivering fast, accurate and reliable ultrasound across a range of specialities.
Combining advanced imaging technology with AI-powered tools, the Samsung R20 system assists clinicians during live scanning. AI-driven features work in the background to help clinicians capture clearer images, automate measurements and improve workflow efficiency, supporting confident diagnosis even in more complex cases. The investment also reflects Sulis Hospital’s commitment to creating the best possible working environment for clinical teams. The system has been designed with improved ergonomics to support sonographer comfort and reduce physical strain during examinations, allowing clinicians to focus more time and attention on the patient.
Radiology lead Carl Roberts said: “We are pleased to introduce this new ultrasound technology as part of our ongoing investment in diagnostic services at Sulis Hospital and the community diagnostic centre. The Samsung R20 system provides exceptional image quality and advanced functionality, supporting our clinical teams to deliver accurate and efficient examinations for patients. As demand for diagnostic imaging continues to grow, investments like this help to ensure we can continue providing timely access to high quality care for our local community.”
