Cost-effective upgrade to DR for Barnsley

Fujifilm senior account manager John Casson, radiographer Lauren Bannister, reporting radiographer Rob Johnson and modality lead Liz Elfleet.
Barnsley Hospital had a comprehensive list of requirements for a major upgrade to its radiology department. It wanted a system that would provide high image quality, lower patient dose, increased workflow and improved patient experience.
The hospital also wanted value for money and that staff would find it easy to use. Modality lead Elizabeth Elfleet said: “Fujifilm provided solutions to all these requirements, and has been a pleasure to work with.”
The company installed three retrofit rooms featuring a range of D-Evo II detectors, including the C24 for neonatal use, and an FDR Go Mobile. This enabled a cost-effective upgrade from existing CR equipment to digital radiography.
