Crosshouse makes breast patients comfortable

Ayrshire’s University Hospital Crosshouse has taken delivery of a chair designed for comfortable transport and positioning of patients during mammography screenings. The Akurus chair from Wolverson X-ray Limited is mobile in all directions and has motorised height adjustment.

Lead mammographer Angela Donnelly said: “We are delighted with the equipment because patients find the chair extremely comfortable and mammographers can position patients easily due to the manoeuvrability and lightness of the chair.”
