CT update accross Pennine hospitals

With the Aquilion Prime system at North Manchester are CT lead radiographer Shaun Crimmins, Toshiba Medical Systems CT applications specialist Heather Dring, senior radiographer Charmain Harrison and CT support worker Sean Jordan.

Pennine Acute Trust has been setting about replacing its CT systems at Oldham, North Manchester and Fairfield Hospitals, and has acquired a Toshiba Aquilion Prime system for North Manchester General Hospital.

The 160-slice CT system was purchased with integral AIDR 3D and cardiac scanning to ensure future proofing of the CT service across the trust.    This installation came with the addition of a bariatric couch that complements the wider bore of the system to provide a true bariatric scanning facility.

The Aquilion Prime will shortly be joined by an Aquilion CXL to provide the trust with greater CT capacity.
