Davies donates cheque to Medical Detection Dogs

Private referral practice Davies Veterinary Specialists has donated a cheque to the Medical Detection Dogs charity. Team members at raised £4,450 and the practice topped this sum up to £7,200.
The charity is a particular favourite with oncology specialist Isabelle Desmas-Bazelle. She is currently working on a project to find an affordable, rapid and non-invasive diagnostic test for canine urinary transitional cell carcinoma by training dogs to detect this cancer type in the odour of the urine. Managing director Dr Clive Elwood said: “We are all proud to have raised such a large sum. Given Isabelle’s ongoing work in this field it’s a charity very close to our hearts and we are delighted to be able to help them in this way.”
