NHS Rotherham has commissioned a GP direct access MRI service to operate from the NHS Rotherham Diagnostic Centre at Rotherham Community Health Centre. This service is in response to demand from general practice for the MRI service.

It will operate on a 12-month trial basis to access the level of demand and its clinical effectiveness.

InHealth is joining Care UK in delivering the service by providing a mobile unit for one day a week.  Referrals are made via the choose-and-book method, fax or by letter.
