Vertec has reached an agreement with Dose Point to sell and support its products in the UK. Pictured at Vertec Scientific’s Silchester headquarters sealing the deal are, from left, Vertec RT product specialist Michael Davis, Dose Point founder and general manager Ulf Dudziak, Vertec RT product specialist Mike Holroyd and Vertec MD Bill Hipgrave.
The first two systems to be offered will be RT-smartQA, a compact tool for evaluation of mechanical linac properties such as light field/radiation field congruency and other parameters, based on Gafchromic QA film, and RT-smartIMRT, a modular cylindrical phantom for absolute dosimetry, IMRT verification and QA. With the capability to accommodate devices such as 2D arrays, phantom plates, TLD, film and inhomogeneity inserts, RT-smartIMRT extends the use of dosimetry and QA in contemporary RT techniques and enables surveys of the dynamic behaviour of complex treatment machines.
Hipgrave said: “We are delighted to be chosen as the UK representative of Dose Point products as they are a perfect complement to the range of radiotherapy products already offered by our Vertec RT division, being innovative, sensibly priced and designed for RT professionals.”
