Cobalt MRI manager Karen Hackling-Searle, applications service manager at Siemens Healthineers Kelly Parker, MRI applications specialist at Siemens Healthineers and Cobalt Charlotte Cannon, superintendent radiographer Steve Paplow and research superintendent Jan Kennedy.
Siemens Healthineers has partnered with medical charity Cobalt to develop a pioneering dual role at a facility at the University Hospitals of Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
Held by Charlotte Cannon, the role supports the operational service of a MRI scanner and has introduced a greater range of skills to the hospital. It is a 50/50 split between a Siemens Healthineers application specialist role and a Cobalt health research/clinical MRI radiographer role. Cannon provides long-term application support and radiography skills to the Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM) imaging centre based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital site.
