Efforts of Irish practitioners are recognised at IIRRT

At the IIRRT Annual Conference, Medray Imaging Systems and the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy announced the winners of the second Irish x-ray awards.
Following online voting, site visits and patient input, the radiography department of the year award went to Cavan General Hospital while the radiation therapy department of the year went to St Luke’s radiation oncology unit at St James’s Hospital.
The award for radiographer of the year was presented to Adrian O’Rourke from Mater Misericodiae University Hospital while the award for radiation therapist of the year was presented to Dean Harper from St Luke’s radiation oncology unit at St James’s Hospital.
