Lewisham Hospital has taken delivery of a power injector from Covidien. The Optistar Elite MR injector is a battery-free, integrated system for injection of contrast medium for MRI.
MRI deputy radiographer Sarah-Jane Platt said: “It is so easy to use and quick to load; it has made post-contrast scanning much easier.”
Click-in syringe loading for swift preparation and an intuitive user interface are among the benefits of the system, which is now being used in many sites across the county.
