Ellesmere Port Hospital chooses Medray to equip new DXA service

A DMS Stratos DR scanner has been installed at Ellesmere Port Hospital, part of the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It will provide high resolution DXA imaging, being used primarily for the assessment of bone mineral density and the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases.
Distributor Medray Group oversaw the full project from site preparation through to post-installation support. The hospital’s DXA team said: “Medray provided a very friendly and supportive approach with the set-up of the new DXA scanner. This new service will be extremely beneficial to patients, as they will no longer have to travel as far for their scans.”
The Stratos DR, manufactured by DMS Imaging, offers rapid scan times and ergonomic design. It supports a range of clinical applications including spine, hip and forearm imaging, and offers dedicated software for fracture risk assessment and body composition analysis.
