Envirotect has installed a code 5 lead-lined x-ray screen at Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, with a vibrant underwater theme created by POP Design and Projects. The ocean-inspired design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides necessary protection against radiation exposure. The screens are made with a lead core to the panels and lead glass vision panels for clear visibility during procedures.

Envirotect managing director Niven Smith said: “The transformation of a plain and clinical room into a child-friendly and inviting space by POP Design and Projects is amazing. The underwater theme has completely changed the appearance of our screen and we look forward to future collaborations with POP Design and Projects.”

Manufactured to client specifications, Envirotect x-ray screens comply with radiation shielding requirements. Screens are available as fixed or mobile and are designed with a wipe clean plastic laminate finish ranging from standard white to a choice of vibrant colours and designs. The range includes lead-lined plasterboards or plywood, door sets, x-ray screens, observation windows, cabinets, lead glass, lead vinyl curtains and RF cages.
