Examination changes can be made on the spot

Lincoln County Hospital’s radiology department has acquired a Toshiba Radrex-i x-ray system with a portable wireless REXpanel flat panel detector as part of an ongoing project to move the department from analogue/CR to fully DR-enabled.

Radiology manager Paul Clark said: “Our overall impression of the Toshiba kit was excellent.  The touchscreen tube head is ideal for changing examination order, details etc, without having to return to the control panel, as was the case with most other systems we evaluated.  The range of table height was impressive and the maximum table weight was very high, catering for patients with higher body habitus, which in today’s environment is essential.”
