Fetal cardiac view application wins hearts at Royal Stoke

Royal Stoke University Hospital has taken delivery of a Samsung WS80A with Elite software featuring the 5D Applications Suite, distributed by MIS Healthcare.
Consultant obstetrician Dr Simon Cunningham said: “At first I thought that 5D Heart was a gimmick but once you learn how to tune it, it becomes an essential part of the workflow. By the end of the April I suspect I won’t be doing echos without it.
“We chose the Samsung WS80A primarily for image quality, screen, ergonomics of the console, and exceptional ergonomics of the probe.”
