Future Medical team works together to attain ISO 9001 certification

Diagnostic imaging equipment supplier Future Medical has announced that it is has received ISO 9001 certification, following the hard work of all its departments. The company removes and purchases redundant radiology equipment across the UK and Europe and has international offices.

When diagnostic equipment reaches the end of its life or is being renewed, Future Medical can manage the decommissioning process. Where possible the company will purchase unwanted items, including CT, MRI, x-ray, ultrasound and mammography equipment, which are then recycled.

Business support manager Mandy Davis explained: “Future Medical has always strived to provide a level of service to meet with our customers’ expectations but we were aware of areas for development and had processes that needed updating to continue to improve performance. ISO 9001 was considered a positive step to making these improvements and to acknowledge our commitment to incorporating quality into every aspect of our business activity. We appointed ISO Certification Limited to guide us through the process and received very responsive and efficient support.

“With clearly documented processes now in place, we are more focused on applying resources to the areas that will increase efficiencies and, while it is creating cost savings, it is also improving outputs,” added Davis. “With clear objectives, staff work smarter which in turn is providing a positive experience for our customers and suppliers.”
