Hendon’s new MRI helps keep waiting lists down

Hendon Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, has taken delivery of a new MRI system. The arrival of the latest generation of diagnostic imaging equipment comes as part of Circle Health Group’s £125 million investment programme for 2022.
The Signa Voyager MRI system is the latest from GE Healthcare and is one of the first of its kind to be deployed in the UK. It has been designed to improve the speed with which clinical imaging takes place and reduce the amount of time the patient spends in the scanner. With demand for imaging equipment at an all-time high across the UK, the MRI system enables Hendon Hospital to meet the needs of patients locally.
This is the 13th scanner Circle Health Group has added to its fleet in the last 12 months. Circle entered a 10-year partnership with GE Healthcare to gain the latest technology and expertise to enhance facilities and services on offer to its patients.
Hospital executive director Stephen Wright said: “This is an exciting opportunity to ensure our waiting lists for MRI are kept to a minimum while offering state-of-the-art diagnostic technology.
“The brand new scanner has a fully equipped, bright interior, providing the best experience for our patients. The imaging team is thrilled to be able to work with this scanner and provide such a high level of service at Hendon Hospital.”
