Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth increases throughput

Imaging services manager Shila Mistry, senior radiographers Naomi Khandakar and Ranjan Mistry and Hologic breast health sales specialist John McMahon.

The 160-year-old Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth in London has installed a Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography equipment, Affirm tomosynthesis breast biopsy technology and an Eviva vacuum-assisted breast biopsy device from Hologic.

The Affirm system is pre-programmed for use with Hologic’s Eviva and ATEC devices.

“The recently refurbished breast imaging unit is particularly well equipped, with nearby state-of-the-art breast ultrasound, MRI and CT, and the Hologic 3D Mammography system will be a valuable addition to our breast imaging service,” explained imaging services manager Shila Mistry.   “We aim to provide the best service to our customers and our clear goal is to have the best equipment to enable us to do this.  Our standards are very high and our radiologists and surgeons expect this to be the case.”
