Huddersfield Royal receives first two of six auto positioning systems

Wolverson X-ray has installed two advanced x-ray systems that are expected to enhance A&E care at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. The Arcoma Precision i5 is a fully auto positioning system with features such as live camera views, long bone image stitching on both the chest stand and table projections, virtual grid and line suppression. The system is coupled with Canon Medical Systems’ high resolution detectors that can be configured with any combination of fixed and wireless lightweight detectors and Canon NE software, ensuring high quality images and a quicker workflow.
This is a significant step forward for Huddersfield’s healthcare, says Wolverson. These cutting-edge x-ray systems will play an important role in transforming the A&E department, enhancing diagnostic capabilities and patient care.
“Here at Wolverson X-ray we are deeply focused on improving medical services and ultimately patient outcomes at the hospital and look forward to supporting staff in their commitment to exceptional patient care with the addition of four more Precision i5 auto positioning systems scheduled for installation in the trust in 2024,” the company says.
